Facilissimo!

Be careful with BEFORE and AFTER photos. Be cautious. Because these little side-by-sides can so easily be faked, and often are when it comes to DIET TEAS or BOOTIE SHAKES or whatever weird supplements the person is pushing. That’s not to say all before and after photos are bad. Many are a powerful badge of a woman’s own progress, a moment she’s proud of, something she’s achieved. And that’s pretty incredible. A woman striving toward her own goal is ALWAYS INCREDIBLE. But when before/after photos are attached to a lie, and have the end goal of SELLING, that’s when things go sour. There’s danger in this kind of deception. It implies we are flawed. It implies we are broken. And then in a breath, it promises if we BUY THIS THING we will be fixed, we will be magically slimmed down or toned up and look, poof, we become an AFTER. So today, I just want to pull back the curtain a bit. Show you some of the tools these brands use when trying to poke at your insecurities and pry away your money. You do not need, you NEVER need, a weird diet tea or a chemical detox coffee or supplements that make your heart race and hands shake and promise to create your AFTER. You are far more wonderful, far more intelligent, and far more magical than that. You always have been. #talkingoutloud #feminism
